Racin' the Roval
Fantasy Insight-Pocono International Speedway

By Dennis Michelsen
Nestled in the beautiful Pocono Mountains, this track has been offering some of the most unique racing challenges to drivers over the years. The infamous "Tunnel Turn" might be the trickiest on any circuit in any division anywhere in the world! The front stretch is the longest in racing and offers fans a wild view as cars fan out five and sometimes six wide! While I question whether NASCAR needs to visit this place twice a year I hope this challenging track never disappears from the NASCAR landscape. It offers drivers a unique twist between a road course and an oval. Three unique turns and a peculiar triangular layout makes this a driver's track and one that must stay on the NASCAR schedule so we crown a champion that is a real driver! Good luck with your fantasy picks this week.

Fast Facts of the Week
Hamlin has never lost at Pocono in his life, ok so it has been only two races but…

21% of races won from pole and 72% from top ten starting position

Only 4 of 58 races have been won from outside a top 20 starting spot

Paul Menard and Johnny Sauter getting important seat time in ARCA race too

Mark Martin has the most top 5s and top 10s of any driver but has never won at Pocono

Fantasy Racing by the Numbers
My unique Power Ratings are back and better than ever for 2007! Combining the three most important factors the numbers never lie. Separate the pretenders from the contenders each week with track type, horses for courses, and consistency factored into one easy to use Power Rating. The key numbers to remember are 80 and 250. A rating of 80 is an acceptable risk for any of the individual ratings and 250 is the cut off for the complete Power Rating. Drivers topping these minimums have a much higher percentage of top ten finishes over the past three seasons! (Only drivers meeting the minimum will be shown in the individual ratings with the top 25 for Power Ratings shown)
