Flat and Fast
Fantasy Insight-Michigan 2
By Dennis Michelsen
Can Ford continue their dominance at this track so close to Detroit? Seven of the last eleven races have been won by the brand including the first race of the season here when Carl Edwards broke his long winless drought. No one comes into this race hotter than the one-two punch of Tony Stewart and Jeff Gordon from the Bowtie Brigade so Ford dominance might be challenged this week. But if the blue oval does end up in Victory Lane it could mean the end to another Roush driver's winless drought. Greg Biffle has been getting stronger every week and while his contract is good through 2008 his name has surfaced in Silly Season talk for some of the most desired rides that have come available. This could also be the kind of track where Clint Bowyer could finally put it all together or Ryan Newman could end his winless drought. Good luck with your Fantasy Racing picks this week!

Fast Facts of the Week Presented by www.nascapper.com
Fords have won seven of the last eleven races

Qualifying is critical at MIS…20% of the winners form the pole, 80% from top ten starting positions, and only 5% from outside the top twenty

Tony Stewart is the only guy to win from outside the top 25!

Bill Elliott is awesome at MIS…leads all active drivers in wins, poles, top fives, and top ten finishes

Jeff Gordon has an amazing 52% top five percentage here

Stewart comes in on a roll with three wins in his last four starts and 4 top fives in his last five starts at MIS

Fantasy Racing by the Numbers
My unique Power Ratings are back and better than ever for 2007! Combining the three most important factors the numbers never lie. Separate the pretenders from the contenders each week with track type, horses for courses, and consistency factored into one easy to use Power Rating. The key numbers to remember are 80 and 250. A rating of 80 is an acceptable risk for any of the individual ratings and 250 is the cut off for the complete Power Rating. Drivers topping these minimums have a much higher percentage of top ten finishes over the past three seasons! (Only drivers meeting the minimum will be shown in the individual ratings with the top 25 for Power Ratings shown)
