Will the Drama Be Bigger Too?
Fantasy Insight-Texas Fall
By Dennis Michelsen
Oh the drama as Hendrick teammates Jeff Gordon and Jimmie
Johnson slug it out to the finish. This season started
with these two at the top of the heap and it is very fitting
that despite the silly Chase for the Championship format
this is how it will all turn out too! Oh some other guys
have a glimmer of hope but the fat lady will sing for
them at Texas. So we are left with the two Hendrick drivers
one-two as the rest of the field settles for third place!
Amazing how the good luck of 2007 also translated to the
fuel issues at Atlanta too with none of the Hendricks
drivers having issues with the bad pump. Oliver Stone
might find that coincidence puzzling enough for a new
movie. Only in NASCAR can we have water in the fuel at
a track suffering from a drought! This week as you get
ready for your Fantasy picks remember to include those
Hendrick drivers since all four will be tough. But I am
going out on a slight limb and picking a guy whose season
has been rather "Fustratin'" to say the least.
Good luck with your fantasy picks at Texas!

Racing by the Numbers
My unique Power Ratings are back and better than
ever for 2007! Combining the three most important factors
the numbers never lie. Separate the pretenders from the
contenders each week with track type, horses for courses,
and consistency factored into one easy to use Power Rating.
The key numbers to remember are 80 and 250. A rating of
80 is an acceptable risk for any of the individual ratings
and 250 is the cut off for the complete Power Rating.
Drivers topping these minimums have a much higher percentage
of top ten finishes over the past three seasons! (Only
drivers meeting the minimum will be shown in the individual
ratings with the top 25 for Power Ratings shown)
