Bye Bye Busch Whackers-Richmond-Race 11

Once again we are being treated to Cup driver dominance
in the Busch series. While this is nothing new, this season
of Busch Whacking might be worse than last season! In
eleven races not a single Busch regular has won a race.
Only two times in Busch companion events have more than
one Busch regular finished in the top ten overall. Three
times the best finishing Busch regular wasn't even in
the top ten! How are new drivers going to get enough experience
and confidence to move to the next level? Back just a
few years ago the dominance by the Cup guys was strong
but the Busch regulars were able to compete! It was a
rare occurrence when fewer than four non-Cup drivers finished
in the top ten. But now all the Busch series has become
is testing time for the Cup guys. Even on companion events
with the Car of Tomorrow we see more than half of the
field made up of Cup drivers. NASCAR needs to make a change
to bring back a unique character and set of stars to the
Busch series before everyone tunes out and stops buying
tickets!
