Did You Enjoy the Pocono 265?
Making the Grade-Pocono Raceway Race One
By Dennis Michelsen

Pace Laps
Need to end a drought? Bring NASCAR to town!

News flash to NASCAR…sundown in Pocono is at 8:29 PM

Race time of last year's races was 3 hours and 47 minutes

This year's race started after 5:10pm ET…you do the math!

Nextel Cup- Dover International Raceway

1. Jeff Gordon
2. Ryan Newman
3. Martin Truex Jr
4. Casey Mears
5. Tony Stewart
6. Denny Hamlin
7. Mark Martin
8. Kyle Busch
9. Matt Kenseth
10. Clint Bowyer

F for NASCAR
Refund half the ticket money for last night's race or have Pocono add lights! Starting a race that lasts on the average 3 hours and 47 minutes with just barely 3 hours of daylight left is a crime!

D for Dave Blaney
This has been a rough year for this talented driver since he fell out of the top 35 in points. Sunday at Pocono it was Dave's bad luck to be in the way when Greg Biffle lost control of his car. The hits keep on coming for BDR!

C for Juan Pablo Montoya
Twentieth place is not satisfactory to this past champion but it wasn't bad for a rookie at Pocono! Grabbing honors as top rookie this season might not be as impressive as last year when the rookie crop was much better, but it still earns Juan a "C" this week!

B for Jeff Gordon
Battling bad brakes on a track where you need all the brakes you can get shows just how great Jeff Gordon is as a driver. Is he the best ever? Probably not but he does belong in the "Greatest Ever" discussion and team picture!

A for Steve Letarte
I wonder if the TODAY SHOW will hire Letarte as a guest weatherman in the winter? Reading the radar charts (or tea leaves) Steve Letarte made the right decision on pit strategy to get Jeff Gordon another win!
