End
of Fustration
Making the Grade-New Hampshire
By Dennis Michelsen
Who needs a Crew Chief? Three of the top five finishers
in he Lenox Industrial Tools 300 at New Hampshire International
Speedway were guys whose Crew Chiefs are suspended! It
sure looked like Denny Hamlin's "Fustratin'"
season would continue when Jeff Gordon started working
on his back bumper, but Denny held on for the win and
a fresh baking sheet of cookies from Mom!
Pace
Laps
Congrats to the Bahre family for all their hard work to
get this place racey!
Great
to see Kyle so at ease at NHIS finally
Chevy
continued their dominance of COT races with the top eight
finishers
Nemechek's
team should pick up Sesame Street as a sponsor, brought
to you by the number five (As in lug nuts that need to
be tightened)
Nextel
Cup- NHIS
1. Denny Hamlin
2. Jeff Gordon
3. Martin Truex Jr
4. Dale Earnhardt Jr
5. Jimmie Johnson
6. Jeff Green
7. Jeff Burton
8. Kevin Harvick
9. Matt Kenseth
10. Ryan Newman
F
for Ward Burton
All that hard work to only get four laps completed in
the race before the engine explodes? It is sad to see
this former winning team struggle so bad on their way
to their eventual demise.
D
for Casey Mears
After winning his first Cup race Mears quickly popped
off two more top five finishes. But now it is a return
to middle of the pack runs for this overrated driver.
C
for Bill Elliott
It is almost painful to see past champions struggling
to post top 25 finishes. At least Awesome Bill is getting
the car qualified on time.
B
for Jeff Gordon
This fatherhood thing is not slowing Jeff down one bit.
Of course at this salary level he can hire a nanny, au
pair, diaper changer, and all the other help needed to
allow him to sleep in on his off days!
A
for Denny Hamlin
The FedEx team has found more ways to snatch defeat out
of the jaws of victory this season than anyone in recent
history! But on Sunday it all came together including
a brilliant call to take two tires on the last pit stop.
Crew Chief Mike Ford deserves part of the win but Denny
finished the deal and earns the top grade this week!
