Jeff
Gordon Still on Top After Magic Mile
RaceTalkRadio.com NASCAR Top 20
By Dennis Michelsen
Denny Hamlin finally got his first win of the 2007 season
but runner up Jeff Gordon remains on top of the RaceTalkRadio
NASCAR Top 20. After slowly dropping down the poll over
the last ten weeks, Kasey Kahne finally dropped off the
rankings. This leaves Evernham Motorsports as the only
top team without a single representative on the Casite
NASCAR Top 20. Hendrick Motorsports continues to dominate
the rankings with three drivers in the top 10 and all
four of their drivers in the top 20.

Five (Presented by www.dreamfactoryinc.org)
Jeff Gordon has a comfortable lead on top of the Casite
NASCAR Top 20 after week 17. Gordon's eighteen first place
votes are more than the rest of the NASCAR field combined.
Jimmie Johnson posted another top five finish at New Hampshire
International Speedway and is second on our poll again
this week. Tony Stewart continues to hold on to third
place despite being winless in 2007. Look for Smoke to
start his usual torrid summer run this week at Daytona.
Stewart's teammate Denny Hamlin got his first win of the
season this week and jumps up to fourth. The super consistent
Matt Kenseth slips one spot to round out our top five.

Jeff Burton started the season strong but has leveled
off. Burton was never in contention for the win on Sunday
but once again finished the day in the top ten and is
sixth in this week's Casite NASCAR Top 20. Kevin Harvick
remains in seventh this week after posting another top
ten. Richard Childress Racing has gotten off to a strong
start in Car of Tomorrow races. Carl Edwards moves up
one spot to eighth place this week. Edwards might have
been a contender for the win if his pit crew didn't drop
the car off the jack! Kyle Busch and Dale Earnhardt Jr
round out the top ten after week seventeen.

Kasey Kahne's season has been the most disappointing of
any driver in 2007. Starting the season with hopes of
winning the championship, Kahne is mired in twenty-sixth
place in the point's standings. After winning more races
than anyone else last season Kahne has only posted one
top ten all season and this week gets booted from the
Casite NASCAR Top 20. Taking over his spot is JJ Yeley
returning to the Top 20 in twentieth position. Ryan Newman
is our rising star this week with Greg Biffle sliding
down two spots.
