Stump Posts Another Top Ten at Cayuga

Bend, WI (July 2, 2007)- Kris Stump and his 5K Motorsports
team showed once again on Saturday night that you can
never give up! Taking on the super fast, super flat historic
raceway in Nelles Corners, Ontario Kris Stump battled
hard all night to post a strong eighth place finish. "That's
about as hard as I ever worked for an eighth place finish,"
said an exhausted Kris Stump after 200 laps of hard fought
racing action. "That track is very rough and hard
to handle." Qualifying fourth Kris started from the
inside of row four after the maximum invert of ten places.
The handling would go away as this abrasive track took
its toll on Stump's tires. But this talented ASA Late
Model Series veteran fought hard all night to post another
top ten finish. "We hoped for better coming into
this weekend," said Kris Stump. "But this is
one tough track!" Next up for Kris Stump and his
5K Motorsports team is the Radfest/Race Against Drugs
200 at the Motor Mile in Radford, Virginia on July 21st.

Veteran driver Kris Stump joins 5K Motorsports for 2007
after a successful run with Allen-Hock Motorsports. His
fifth place finish last season in the Challenge Division
standings included four top five finishes. This twenty-seven
year old from Tipp City, Ohio is a threat to win at any
track big or small.
Meet
Kris' Teammate Derek Thorn
This twenty one year old from Lakeport, California raced
his way out of the obscurity of the bullrings of Northern
California to get his ASALMS career off to a fast start.
So far this season Derek has collected a win at Nashville
and three top fives finishes in seven starts. Derek leads
the Pat Bourdow Memorial Rookie of the Year Standings,
and is fourth in championship points.
